Upcoming Event – Conference: From Pasteur to the Pandemic

This event aims to honour the life and work of the great French scientist Louis Pasteur, whilst simultaneously analysing the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Pasteur revolutionised science with his discoveries that saved millions of lives via the development of vaccines.

The event’s talks will focus on Pasteur’s life and work, COVID-19 and other pandemics, and threats and opportunities of the future.

Our partners at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) will deliver a talk about how research can help us prepare for future threats, using PANDEM-2 as an example.

The event will take place in Helsinki on the 21st of October 2022, from 13:00-17:00.
